The purpose of this document is to provide recommendations and guidance to the Federal On-Scene Coordinator (FOSC) to avoid and minimize impact to fish, wildlife, and cultural/historic resources during a response to an oil spill. This document is not intended to cover all possible scenarios or every individual species. The BMPs provided in this document are general in nature for oil spill response actions and enable the FOSC to quickly implement BMPs for response actions at the onset of a response. |
