ADIOS Oil Database (NOAA)
The ADIOS Oil Database was designed to support oil spill response and oil spill preparedness operations through a compilation of publicly available oil assays. It includes physical and chemical properties, and data on these properties for oils that have undergone simulated weathering.

Disaster Debris Recovery Tool (EPA)

The debris recovery tool will assist federal, state, local and tribal emergency personnel to quickly identify recycling, composting, and disposal facilities near affected areas that may be able to accept disaster debris. The recovery tool can also assist with debris management planning by identifying potential facilities before a disaster occurs, which can help communities recover faster.

Please visit EPA's Planning for Natural Disaster Debris guide and managing materials and wastes for homeland security incidents website for more information about waste management for homeland security and smaller incidents.

National Pipeline Mapping System (DOT PHMSA)
The National Pipeline Mapping System (NPMS) is a dataset containing locations of and information about gas transmission and hazardous liquid pipelines and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plants which are under the jurisdiction of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). The NPMS also contain voluntarily submitted breakout tank data. The data is used by PHMSA for emergency response, pipeline inspections, regulatory management and compliance, and analysis purposes. It is used by government officials, pipeline operators, and the general public for a variety of tasks including emergency response, smart growth planning, critical infrastructure protection, and environmental protection.

Environmental Response Management ApplicationĀ® (NOAA)
Environmental Response Management Application® (ERMA®) is an online mapping tool that integrates both static and real-time data, such as Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) maps, ship locations, weather, and ocean currents, in a centralized, easy-to-use format for environmental responders and decision makers.

National Streamstats and Travel Time Application (USGS)
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) released a beta version of a travel time application for streams and rivers across the United States. This web-based mapping application can be used to estimate plume trajectories and travel times in rivers. The application was funded by the Department of the Interior's (DOI) Inland Oil Spill Preparedness Program.

National Hydrologic Imagery Visualization and Information System (HIVIS) Dashboard (USGS)
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) released a new web-based mapping application with links to near-real-time photographs of river conditions at selected USGS streamgages with time-lapse cameras.

Consolidated List of Chemicals Subject to the Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act and Section 112 of the Clean Air Act (EPA)
This consolidated list of chemicals subject to reporting requirements under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act (CAA).

Chemtrec (Chemtrec)
CHEMTREC serves as a round-the-clock resource for obtaining immediate critical response information for incidents involving hazardous materials and dangerous goods. CHEMTREC is linked to the largest network of chemical and hazardous material experts in the world, including chemical and response specialists, public emergency services, and private contractors.

Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR)
The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), based in Atlanta, Georgia, is a federal public health agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). ATSDR serves the public by using the best science, taking responsive public health actions, and providing trusted health information to prevent harmful exposures and diseases related to toxic substances.

Toxic Substances Portal (ATSDR)
Search substances by Chemical Abstracts Service Number (CAS#), Substance Name, Synonym, or Tradename.

Envirofacts (EPA)
Envirofacts contains chemical data from several different program system databases: the Aerometric Information Retrieval System, the Permit Compliance System, and the Toxics Release Inventory System. The Envirofacts Master Chemical Integrator (EMCI) identifies the chemicals in these systems. Using this integrator, you can learn details about a chemical substance, such as chemical names, discharge limits, and reported releases without knowing how the chemical is identified in the various program office systems throughout the Envirofacts database.

U.S. Gazetteer (U.S. Census Bureau)
Download U.S. Gazetteer files for congressional districts, places, counties, county subdivisions, census tracts, American Indian areas, school districts, state legislative districts, urban areas, and ZIP Code tabulation areas (ZCTAs).

Computer-Aided Management of Emergency Operations (EPA)

Computer-Aided Management of Emergency Operations (CAMEO) is a system of software applications used to plan for and respond to chemical emergencies. Developed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to assist front-line chemical emergency planners and responders, CAMEO can access, store, and evaluate information critical for developing emergency plans.

Local Emergency Planning Committees (EPA)
Information about Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs).

Enforcement and Compliance History Online (EPA)
Use the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO) website to search for facilities in your community to assess their compliance with environmental regulations. You can also investigate pollution sources, examine and create enforcement-related maps, or explore your state's performance.

Maps & Data (U.S. Bureau of the Census)
Work with interactive mapping tools from across the Census Bureau.

Chemical Hazards Response Information System (USCG)
The Chemical Hazards Response Information System (CHRIS) is designed to provide information needed for decision-making by responsible U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) personnel during emergencies that occur during the water transport of hazardous chemicals.

Emergency Response Guidebook (DOT PHMSA)
Visitors can access or download Apps or software related to the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration's (PHMSA's) Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG). The ERG provides first responders with a go-to manual to help deal with hazmat accidents during the critical first 30 minutes.

WebGNOME
WebGNOME is a publicly available oil spill trajectory and fate model that simulates oil movement and weathering due to winds and currents. WebGNOME was developed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office of Response and Restoration (OR&R) Emergency Response Division (ERD) for use in oil spill response.
